The 11th International Invention Fair – TÜRKPATENT ISIF’26, organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) and hosted by TEKNOFEST, was held in Şanlıurfa from September 30 to October 4, 2026. A total of 367 inventions were exhibited at the fair, which brought together inventors and participants from 11 countries.
TÜRKPATENT ISIF’26 Opening Ceremony
The fair was opened with the participation of Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Muhammet Kasım GÖNÜLLÜ. Inventions developed by universities, technoparks, industrial organizations and individual inventors in various fields of technology were exhibited throughout the fair. Workshops and events held as part of the fair addressed topics including the protection of intellectual property, the commercialization of innovative ideas and technology transfer.
President Erdoğan Awarded HAVELSAN the TÜRKPATENT ISIF’26 Grand Prix
Speaking at the award ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR stated that the annual number of domestic patent applications in Türkiye had increased from 414 to more than 11,000, emphasizing that Türkiye ranks first in the world in terms of the proportion of women inventors among international patent applications.
TÜRKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK also shared his views on Türkiye’s progress in the field of industrial property and the fair’s contribution to the innovation ecosystem.
Following the evaluations by national and international jury members, 12 inventions were selected to receive special awards. The special awards were handed out by Minister KACIR, while the most prestigious award of the fair, the TÜRKPATENT ISIF’26 Grand Prix, was presented by President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN to HAVELSAN for its invention entitled “A Hybrid System and Method for Anomaly and Fraud Detection on Multidimensional Structured Data.”
Gold, silver and bronze medals were also presented to the winners by TÜRKPATENT President DURAK at a ceremony, held as part of the fair.
