"Afyon Pastırması" has become our 34th product with a geographical indication registered in the European Union.
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR announced on his social media account that Afyon Pastırması (Pastrami) has become the 34th product with a geographical indication registered in the European Union.
Minister KACIR said:
"We have added a new item to our internationally registered geographical indications. Afyon Pastırması has become our 34th product with a geographical indication registered in the European Union. Our geographically indicated products are the global certification of our ancient culture, fertile lands, and the hard work of our producers. I wholeheartedly congratulate all those who contributed, especially our producers. We will continue to preserve and promote the values of Anatolia to the world."
