Antep Fıstık Ezmesi (Pistachio Paste) Becomes the 36th Geographical Indication Registered in the European Union
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR announced that Antep Fıstık Ezmesi (Pistachio Paste) has become the 36th Turkish product registered as a geographical indication by the European Union (EU).
In a social media post shared on June 25, 2025, Minister KACIR stated that the results of the International Geographical Indication campaign they launched are continuing to bear fruit. He shared the following message:
“Antep Fıstık Ezmesi (Pistachio Paste) has become our 36th product registered with a geographical indication in the European Union. I congratulate all stakeholders who contributed to this achievement and wish that this great development brings prosperity to our gastronomy capital, Gaziantep, and to our country. With our vision of the Local Development Initiative, we will continue to support the national and international branding of our traditional values.”
