Aydın Çam Fıstığı (Pine Nut) has become the 33rd geographical indication from Türkiye to be registered by the European Union (EU).
Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih KACIR, announced that Aydın Çam Fıstığı (Pine Nut) has been officially registered in the EU and stated that efforts will continue to increase the brand value of local products and make them known both nationally and internationally.
In a post shared on his social media account, KACIR expressed that they continue to deliver good news regarding international geographical indication registrations.
Highlighting that Aydın Çam Fıstığı is the 33rd product to be registered in the EU, KACIR said:
"I sincerely congratulate our producers and everyone who contributed. We will continue our efforts to enhance the brand value of our local products and promote them on both national and international levels."
The geographically indicated products from Türkiye that have been registered by the EU are as follows:
