The Memorandum of Understanding between TURKPATENT and the WIPO, covering the issues regarding the dissemination of alternative solutions in industrial property disputes, was signed on 10 July 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
As part of the ceremony, bilateral meeting was held between the Turkish delegation under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL and the WIPO delegation under the chairmanship of General Manager Daren TANG.
At the meeting, the ongoing cooperation between WIPO and TÜRKPATENT was discussed.
On the other hand, TÜRKPATENT President Cemil BAŞPINAR, who attended the 64th WIPO General Assembly meetings held between 6-14 July 2023, presented his country statement on the developments in the field of intellectual and industrial property rights in our country on the first day of the General Assembly.
While the Turkish delegation held bilateral meetings with 14 countries and international organizations during the General Assembly, cooperation protocols developed between TURKPATENT and the national intellectual property offices of the United States, Moldova and Tajikistan were signed and put into effect.
