Erzincan Tulum Peyniri (Cheese) has become the 32nd geographically indicated product registered by the European Union
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR commented on the registration of Erzincan Tulum Peyniri (Cheese) with a geographical indication by the EU, saying:
"With the international geographical indication campaign we have launched, we continue to protect and promote the unique flavors and values of our Anatolia to the world."
In a post shared on his social media account, Kacır stated that Erzincan Tulum Peyniri (Cheese) is the 32nd geographically indicated product registered in the EU and added:
"With the international geographical indication campaign we have launched, we continue to protect and promote the unique flavors and values of our Anatolia to the world. I congratulate everyone who contributed to this achievement and wish the registration to be beneficial for our city and our producers."
He also noted that other geographically indicated products registered by the EU include the following:
