Kayseri Pastırması Became the 46th Geographical Indication Registered in the European Union
Minister KACIR evaluated the EU geographical indication registration of Kayseri Pastırması:
“With the vision of the Local Development Initiative, we are accelerating the branding of our geographical indications and ensuring they receive the value they deserve in international markets.”
Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih KACIR, stated that they are accelerating the branding of geographical indications within the framework of the Local Development Initiative vision and ensuring that these products find the value they deserve in international markets.
In a post on his social media account, Minister KACIR made an assessment regarding the registration of Kayseri Pastırması by the European Union.
Emphasizing that Türkiye’s local values continue to take their place in the international arena, KACIR said:
“Prepared with mastery for centuries, and distinguished by its unique spices and production technique, Kayseri Pastırması has become our 46th product registered with a geographical indication in the EU. With the vision of the Local Development Initiative, we are accelerating the branding of our geographical indications and ensuring they receive the value they deserve in international markets. I sincerely congratulate all stakeholders and our producers who contributed.”
