Kahramanmaraş Pastry Registered in the European Union
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR announced that Maraş Çöreği has become the 44th geographically indicated product registered in the European Union.
In a statement shared on his social media account, Minister KACIR reported that Maraş Çöreği has been officially registered as the 44th geographically indicated product in the EU. The Minister noted:
“We continue to receive good news regarding the international registration of our local products. Maraş Çöreği, which carries the craftsmanship tradition passed down from generation to generation, has now been registered in the European Union as our 44th geographically indicated product.
I congratulate all stakeholders who contributed to this achievement.
In line with our Local Development Initiative goals, we will continue to support our producers and promote our cultural values around the world.”
