EPO and METU Signed “Memorandum of Understanding on the Pan European Seal Network Program

The Memorandum of Understanding between the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Middle East Technical University (METU) for the “Pan European Seal Network Program” was signed on September 19, 2024 by EPO President António CAMPINOS and METU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL. Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK also attended the signing ceremony.

The ‘Pan European Seal Network Program’, which is carried out with universities that are strategic partners with the EPO and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), has 136 university members from 37 countries across Europe.

With the signed Memorandum of Understanding, METU graduates are offered the opportunity to develop their skills in the field of industrial property and patents by providing them with international experience through internship opportunities within the European Patent Office (EPO), the second intergovernmental organization in Europe.
