Osmaniye Yer Fıstığı and Bingöl Balı were Registered in the European Union

In his statement, the President of Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK announced that Osmaniye Yer Fıstığı and Bingöl Balı were registered by the European Union.

DURAK said, "We continue to introduce our geographical indications, which are the permanent traces of our cultural heritage, to the world. 'Osmaniye Yer Fıstığı', one of the flavors of our rich agricultural heritage, and 'Bingöl Balı', the unique taste of our fertile lands, which TÜRKPATENT applied to the European Commission within the scope of the International Geographical Indication Mobilization, have been registered by the European Union.

Stating that there are 23 geographical indications registered with the European Union with the registration of Osmaniye Yer Fıstığı and Bingöl Balı, DURAK said that the processes of a total of 53 geographical indication applications, 6 of which are at the announcement stage, are continuing.

7 - Taşköprü Sarımsağı (Garlic)

8 - Giresun Tombul Fındığı (Hazelnut)

9 - Antakya Künefesi (Dessert)

10 - Suruç Narı (Pomegranate)

11 - Çağlayancerit Cevizi (Walnut) 

12 - Gemlik Zeytini (Olive)

13 - Edremit Zeytinyağı (Olive Oil)

14 - Milas Yağlı Zeytini (Olive)

15 - Ayaş Domatesi (Tomato)

16 - Maraş Tarhanası (Foodstuff)

17 - Edremit Körfezi Yeşil Çizik Zeytini (Olive)

18 - Ezine Peyniri (Cheese)
