The 1st Meeting of Intellectual Property Office Heads of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Bishkek

President of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT), Prof. Dr. M. Zeki Durak, attended the 1st Meeting of Intellectual Property Office Heads of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Bishkek on August 20, 2025.

Along with TÜRKPATENT, the Directorate General of Copyright of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism also participated in the meeting. Discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation to strengthen historical and cultural ties among Turkic states in the field of intellectual and industrial property.

In his national statement, TÜRKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki Durak emphasized the bilateral cooperation that TÜRKPATENT has carried out so far with the intellectual property offices of Turkic states and underlined the importance of developing these collaborations at a multilateral level.

Within the scope of the meeting, consensus was reached on taking more concrete steps within the OTS framework and evaluating the proposals submitted by member states during the upcoming technical meetings.
