The International Geographical Indications Exhibition was held in Geneva, Switzerland, between 10-14 July 2023. The geographical indications of the cities affected by the earthquake that occurred in February in our country are exhibited.
The opening of the exhibition, which was held with the theme of " Harvesting Hope: Empowering Earthquake Affected Provinces ", was opened by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL, WIPO General Director Daren TANG and TÜRKPATENT President Cemil BAŞPINAR.
In the exhibition, Kahramanmaraş Yemenisi, Maraş Sim Sırma, Maraş Tarhanası, Çağlayancerit Walnut, Hatay Pumpkin Dessert, Altınözü Cimemi, Hatay Silk, Sincik Hand-Woven Carpet, Kahta Almond, Malatya Sun Dried Apricot, Kilis Olive Oil, Kilis Quilt, Diyarbakır Lebzüniye, Adana Turnip, Geographical indications of Karatepe Rug, Osmaniye Peanut, Antep Dry Baklava, Antep Kutnu Fabric, Gaziantep Copper Handwork, Gaziantep Sedef Handwork, Şanlıurfa Linen Village Pistachio, Halfeti Karagül, Ağın Leblebisi and Elazığ Orcigi were introduced to the visitors for four days.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL presented the Sincik Hand-Woven Carpet as a souvenir to WIPO General Manager Daren TANG.
