Cemil BAŞPINAR:

Born in Malatya in 1980, Cemil BAŞPINAR graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2004. He completed his master's degree at the same university in 2009.

In 2004, he started to work as an Assistant Patent Examiner at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. He became a Patent Examiner in 2008. He served in different units of the Agency between 2008-2015.

He was appointed as the Vice President of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 2015 and as a Member of the Board of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 2021.

He served as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office between 21 March - 9 September 2022.

In addition to being the Rapporteur of the 11th Development Plan Intellectual Rights Specialization Commission, he chaired various committees within the Turkish Design Advisory Council and the Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Coordination Board.

In addition to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türk Sınai Mülkiyet Değerleme ve Mühendislik Hizmetleri A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKSMD), he has been the Chairman of the Disciplinary Board of Patent Attorneys and Trademark Attorneys since 2017.

BAŞPINAR, who speaks English, French and Persian, is married and has a child.
