Minister of Industry and Technology M. Fatih KACIR announced that Araban Sarımsağı (Garlic) has been registered after completing the examination processes before the European Union.
Sharing a post on the subject on his social media account, Minister KACIR stated that they continue to protect, record and promote Türkiye's local values worldwide and said, "Araban Sarımsağı, which grows in the lands of Gaziantep and is a source of healing, has become our 21st geographically indicated product registered in the European Union."
Emphasizing the significant increase in the number of registrations in the EU following the International Geographical Indication Mobilization that has been initiated, KACIR said, "As of today, we have 21 registered geographical indications, while the processes of 49 applications, 4 of which are at the announcement stage, are continuing. We will continue to work to protect and promote our culture and values and to increase the brand value of our country."

9. Gemlik Zeytini (Olive),
