Within the scope of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Business Forum held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Protection of Industrial Property Rights" was signed between the two countries.
Opened by the Vice President of Turkey Fuat OKTAY and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali ESEDOV, the Forum brought together the private sector business people of the two countries.
"Memorandum of Understanding on the Protection of Industrial Property Rights", which includes the cooperation between the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) and the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (COPAT), was signed by TÜRKPATENT President Cemil BAŞPINAR and COPAT Board Member Sanan TAPDİGOV.
The signed Memorandum of Understanding aims to improve the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in both countries, as well as economic, scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.
Within the scope of the Action Plan, which entered into force with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two Institutions will implement 8 different actions related to intellectual property rights until the end of 2023.
